The last day of the year.

Let me start by wishing you all a GREAT end of this year and an even greater start of the new year. May 2012 bring you whatever you want from it, be it happyness, health, love, joy, a good job, worldpeace, lots of money or the most fabulous avatar in all SL.

Anyway I have to fill my blog before I can sit down and enjoy the last evening and night of 2011. So let me quickly start with the GREAT gown I got from Vero Modero. Thank you so much Pulp Faxel for the tip :) It is their Christmas gown and I am terribly late in blogging it, so I truely hope you can still get it. If not: Vero Modero has loads of group gifts available, I am showing you just a few below the Christmas gown. Most of the gifts come with skin, shape, hair and shoes. I am showing you the outfits on my own shape and skin as I not fond of most of the shapes/skins in SL.

You can never have enough outfits nor shoes, so here are some great shoes by Lassitude & Ennui.

I styled the 10 L$ outfits by VMC with the boots. WOW they are amazing dress sets, and all just 10 L$. I am showing you just 2 colors from each outfit, but they come in 5 colors each.

Another shop with great group gifts is Ydea. I hadn't been there for a while, but all previous outfit gifts are still available. Look below what I got (and there are many more at the store !). Some outfits come with shoes or skin.

New Year's 2012 Good Luck Dishes

When we entered the new millennium back in 2000 some of my Southern friends told me that it was very lucky to eat black-eyed peas on New Year's Day because they look like coins and Collard Greens since they look like paper money. Although these are relatively inexpensive dishes, it's said eat poor on New Year's to bring you luck and eat rich the rest of the year. It is also traditional to eat pork with the meal because pigs root forward and symbolize progress. Pork is also very lucky for many Eastern European and Latin countries and they make it a part of their New Year's Day as well. So I created this all in one-pot Curried Hoppin' John with Pork and Bacon to really make it extra lucky. Serve it with the "Curried Collard Greens" and you can double your luck.

Hunts hunts hunts...and you have to be fast

There are a few hunts going on in several stores but they all end this month so you have to be FAST. Let me start with the hunt at JeSyLiLo.
First of all: there are a few very nice gifts under the tree at JeSyLiLo. Like these pants and skins !

JeSyLiLo is also participating in the Zombie Popcorn hunt (find the bag with popcorn and a zombie) and this is the gift inside the popcorn bag.

Then there is a hunt going on, you have to find the letters of J E S Y L I L O. But if you do find them (they are quite easy to spot) you will have these items below. I have put them like the letters are J E S I L Y L O.

Sweater = J, shoes are L, pants are a gift under the Christmas tree.

Full body tattoo.

The hunt at Censored is called Reveillon hunt. There are 18 gifts at the store and if you find all hunt items you will have some great silver and gold outfits, shoes, skins and nails (there is no picture of the nails, sorry).

And this is the Sienna skin by Censored.

Hop over to Analog dog to get these lovely free hairstyles ladies. They are called Point B holiday gift. The long curly hair is called Madison hair. You get a lot of hairtones. And some with extensions. The cute pony tails are called Quest, also a fatpack of colors. And the cute 50th look with the curls and the color change hat is called Washu. when you land look around, there is a green circle on one of the walls with GIFT on it, next to the pics of the hair.
