Mango Lassi (Mango Smoothie)

Mango Lassi is a rich and thick yogurt based drink that originates from India and Pakistan.  It is sweet, refreshing and cooling.  My kids love it as a breakfast smoothie and since there is no chopping involved in my recipe, it comes together is a few minutes.

To make my version of Mango Lassi you will need:
1 can of Mango Pulp available in most Indian Grocery Stores.
2 cups of Plain yogurt (nonfat, low-fat or full fat)
    1 cup milk (not pictured)
    1/8 teaspoon cardamom powder
2 Tbs Agave Syrup (substitute Honey)

Notes:  I suggest using the canned Mango Pulp because it gives you the best mango flavor and you don't have to worry about fibers that some mangos can have or if your mango fruit is naturally sweet.  I also suggest agave syrup because it is a natural sweetener like honey, but it doesn't have a very strong taste that will overpower the mango flavor.  If you use honey you may have a honey flavor in the background of your drink.

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth and well incorporated together.

Chill in fridge or serve with ice.   You can garnish with whip cream and a sprinkle of cardamom powder if you are entertaining with the drink.  Enjoy.
